SpaceX AI just pushed Grok Bot into enterprise, wrapping its always-on agents in the governance layer that IT and security teams have been requesting since the beta shipped. Grok and Cursor Enterprise customers get two free weeks and can invite their entire organization, including people without an existing seat.

A Bot is a persistent worker you spin up for a specific job. Each one runs on its own cloud computer, signs into the same apps and websites a human would, accepts messages like a coworker, works while you sleep, and pings you when the job is done or when it needs a decision.

What changed today

The core product has been in beta for a few weeks. The enterprise release adds access controls, network controls, and audit logging — three checkboxes most security reviews stall on. Each user's work runs in its own isolated environment, and a Bot starts with zero permissions, reaching only the accounts it is explicitly signed into.

The earlier release lacked user-controlled model selection, scoped permissions, and a built-in audit trail, all of which regulated buyers require before an agent touches core systems. Independent reviewers had also flagged that Cursor's most restrictive legacy privacy mode blocked Grok Bot entirely. The enterprise tier addresses those gaps directly.

How teams are using it

SpaceX AI says thousands of organizations have adopted Grok Bot since launch, including Legora, Supermicro, and ServiceTitan, with the heaviest use outside engineering. Highlighted workflows include:

  • Sales. Bots watch webinars and podcasts featuring people at target accounts, then draft LinkedIn and email outreach for a morning review. During live calls, a Bot updates the deck from notes so next steps appear on the slide before the meeting ends.
  • Recruiting. Overnight prospecting builds a morning shortlist, texts candidates before interviews, and submits scorecards pulled from that day's Gong calls.
  • Marketing. After a webinar, a Bot pulls the Zoom Q&A and messages the relevant account executives with notes on what their customers asked and draft replies.
  • Finance. A procurement Bot monitors vendor spend, usage, and renewals, and has surfaced tens of thousands of dollars in savings across SaaS contracts.
  • Engineering. Bots monitor PRs for bugs, security findings, failing builds, and merge conflicts, then run overnight audits on code quality and performance.

One of the more distinctive design choices is how Bots learn. You have a Bot follow along once, it saves the routine, absorbs your corrections, and runs it independently going forward. Once it works, you hand it to a colleague as a template. Bots can also message each other and share context, so a coordinator Bot can dispatch specialist ones without you shuttling state between them.

Why this is happening now

Grok Bot arrives as SpaceX AI and Cursor merge into a single company, following SpaceX's $60 billion all-stock acquisition of Cursor's parent Anysphere, reported as the largest startup acquisition on record. Cursor's infrastructure powers Grok Bot's per-user cloud computer, and Cursor's coding tools already run inside much of the Fortune 500, giving SpaceX AI a ready distribution channel into enterprise IT.

Financials add urgency. SpaceX's S-1 showed the AI unit losing $2.47 billion in Q1 2026 on $818 million in revenue. Enterprise contracts, not consumer subscriptions, are designed to close that gap. Free trials for existing enterprise customers are cheap customer acquisition when the alternative is another quarter of nine-figure losses.

The competitive field

Grok Bot lands in crowded territory. Anthropic's computer-use capability lets Claude interact with software through screenshots, cursor movements, clicks, and typing; its broader Claude product connects with workplace services and remote MCP servers. OpenAI describes ChatGPT Work as an agent for longer, multi-step tasks and finished deliverables. Agents that can operate software are now table stakes. The angle SpaceX AI is pushing is the packaging: persistent named workers, learned routines, and multi-agent coordination presented as a workforce rather than a chat window.

Pricing and availability

Grok Bot has been available in beta for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Premium Teams subscribers on macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS, with Android coming soon. Cursor Ultra includes it at $200 per month for individuals. Cursor Premium Teams runs $120 per seat per month and adds centralized billing and settings plus a team marketplace for skills and plugins.

Should your team try it?

If you already run Cursor Enterprise or hold a Grok Enterprise contract, the two-week free window is a low-friction way to run a real pilot with a whole department rather than a handful of power users. The meaningful test is whether the learn-once-then-run pattern holds up on messy internal workflows, and whether the audit controls are detailed enough to survive a compliance review.

For teams on neither contract, the more useful signal is architectural. Grok Bot is a bet that the winning shape of enterprise AI is persistent agents with logins that operate the same brittle SaaS surfaces humans do. If that bet pays off, the integration work currently going into MCP servers and API glue starts looking like a transitional layer rather than a destination.
