We report from primary sources first — the original document, dataset, or on-the-record statement — and verify before we publish. We link to original sources whenever they are publicly available so readers can review the underlying material directly.

Company announcements

Official launches, blog posts, and release notes from the organization involved.

Research papers

Preprints (e.g. arXiv) and peer-reviewed work, read in the original.

Documentation

Model cards, API and technical docs, changelogs, and licenses.

Regulatory filings

Public filings and official government or agency records.

Public statements

On-the-record remarks attributable to a named person or organization.

Secondary sources — other outlets' reporting — are used only to find or corroborate a story, never as the sole basis for a factual claim. When another outlet is the origin of a fact we cannot independently confirm, we attribute it plainly and link to it.

Before a story is published, a proofreader reviews it to check that its claims are accurate and correctly attributed.

AlphaSignal's editorial coverage is produced independently from advertising and commercial partnerships. Sponsored or paid content is clearly identified as such. Commercial relationships do not determine the conclusions of newsroom coverage.

We correct errors promptly and in the open. To report one, email editorial@alphasignal.ai with the story and what is wrong.

When we confirm an error, we fix the story and record the change. Material updates are reflected in the article's dateModified timestamp. A substantial correction — one that changes the meaning, facts, or conclusion of a story — is disclosed with a dated correction note appended to the article, describing what changed. Minor fixes such as typos or formatting are made without a note.
