Suno Studio Adds Cent-Level Pitch and Tempo-Aware Imports to Browser DAW
  • Suno Studio gets a redesigned, larger Clip Settings sidebar with volume, pitch, loop, reverse, and timestretch.
  • Lyrics, style tags, and stem separation moved to a separate Clip Info panel to reduce clutter.
  • New auto-stretch setting snaps imported audio to project tempo, while beat-less clips and stem groups keep original timing.
  • Fine pitch adjustment lets you tune clips by semitones and cents using decimal input like 2.38.
  • Shift-H hides tracks, Shift-Alt-H restores them, useful for dense sessions or small screens.
  • Right-click the top ruler for new grid density and contrast controls; included with Premier.

Suno has shipped a workflow update for Suno Studio, its browser-based digital audio workstation built around the company’s generative music models. The release expands clip controls, adds tempo-aware imports and cent-level pitch adjustment, and introduces new track and grid controls. The features are included with Studio under a Premier subscription.

Clip controls expand into a sidebar

Double-clicking a clip now opens a larger Clip Settings sidebar with controls for volume, pitch, looping, reversing, and time-stretching. Suno moved lyrics, style tags, and stem-separation controls into a separate Clip Info panel. Users can open it from Clip Info in an audio clip’s right-click menu or from the button at the bottom of the settings sidebar.

Auto-stretch follows the project tempo

When enabled, the new auto-stretch toggle makes library clips and single-file uploads conform to the project tempo. Time-stretching changes a clip’s duration without changing its pitch, allowing imported audio to follow the session’s beat grid. Suno leaves clips without a steady beat and batches of stems uploaded together at their original timing, preserving alignment among multitrack parts. Suno-generated clips are also unaffected by the toggle.

Pitch lands between semitones

The pitch field now accepts decimal values that combine semitones and cents. One semitone contains 100 cents, so entering 2.38 represents two semitones and 38 cents. This gives imported vocals and instruments finer tuning than whole-semitone controls when a take is slightly sharp or flat.

Track and grid controls cut clutter

  • Hide and restore tracks: Suno’s release notes assign Shift+H to hide the selected track and Shift+Alt+H to restore it.
  • Adjust the grid: Right-clicking the top ruler opens controls for grid density and contrast, letting users change the number and visibility of timeline subdivisions.

More cleanup stays in Studio

Generative music workflows often move to a desktop DAW when a track needs detailed editing. Studio’s added pitch, timing, and arrangement controls keep more of that cleanup in the browser. Premier subscribers who also use Ableton Live or Logic Pro can postpone exporting stems until they need tools beyond Studio’s current editing controls.
