  • Scenario open-sourced its Blender plugin with 500+ models for images, video, 3D, audio and PBR.
  • Requires Blender 5.0+, licensed GPL-3.0-or-later, installed via a custom repository index.
  • Nine lanes cover Image, Video, 3D, Materials, Audio, Render Image/Video, Blockout and 360 Environment.
  • Local MCP server at 127.0.0.1:9876 connects Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Claude Desktop to the scene.
  • Python execution by agents is a separate opt-in permission, disabled by default for safety.
  • Pricing shown in Creative Units before each generation; user guide documents experimental limits.

Scenario has open-sourced its Blender plugin, which brings image, video, 3D, material, audio, and panorama generation into the 3D viewport. The extension also runs a local Model Context Protocol server that lets AI clients inspect and modify the current scene. It supports Blender 5.0 or later, uses the GPL-3.0-or-later license, and remains labeled Experimental. The repository had 560 GitHub stars.

From a sidebar tab, artists can generate assets, render finished stills or clips, and process selected meshes through remeshing, retexturing, UV unwrapping, rigging, animation, and part separation. Prompts and references can come directly from viewport captures, the active camera, animation playblasts, or selected geometry, reducing the file transfers normally required between a browser and Blender.

Nine lanes inside one sidebar

The sidebar divides its generation and editing features into nine lanes, with each lane exposing models and controls suited to a particular asset type.

Lane Inputs and outputs
Image Creates images from text or visual references and imports the results as Blender image datablocks.
Video Accepts text, images, viewport captures, or camera clips. Available model families include Seedance, Kling, Veo, Wan, and LTX.
3D Generates or edits models from text, images, and multi-view references through Meshy, Rodin, Tripo, and Hunyuan. Marble and TripoSplat can create Gaussian splat worlds, which represent scenes as collections of rendered 3D points.
