Replit has acquired Atta, a startup that built tools for business analysis and presentation-ready charts. Financial terms were not disclosed, and co-founders Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa are joining Replit.
The first integration shipped with the announcement: paid Replit users can analyze connected or uploaded data and generate interactive charts inside an Agent chat. Charts arrive inside Agent chat
Users can upload a dataset or connect a data source, ask a question in plain language, and request a visualization. Replit Agent handles the underlying queries and analytical steps, so the user does not need to write SQL, the language commonly used to query databases.

Atta brings the presentation layer

Standard chart libraries can turn query results into a plot, but presentation-ready output also requires readable labels, responsive layouts, consistent styling, and useful interactions. Replit pushes deeper into BI
Replit had already added several pieces of a business intelligence workflow. Agent can generate dashboards from prompts, draw data from databases, warehouse connectors, external APIs, and uploaded files, then export results to PDF or CSV.
Existing warehouse integrations include BigQuery, Databricks, and Snowflake. Replit’s recent Lakebase integration also gives enterprise teams governed access to production data stored through Databricks.
Atta adds a stronger visualization layer to those data connections and dashboard tools. The move broadens Replit’s competitive set beyond coding platforms such as Cursor and Bolt to include collaborative analysis products such as Hex and established BI vendors such as Tableau.
Shipping now, proposed for later
Replit’s announcement combines an available charting feature with a broader product direction. What developers need to check
Teams already building on Replit can query a project database or connected warehouse and create a chart without moving data into a separate analysis interface. Data Visualization requires a paid Replit plan, so it is not an automatic upgrade for free accounts.
The announcement leaves several implementation details open. Replit has not documented the inline feature’s complete source compatibility, query audit trail, chart customization controls, refresh behavior, embedding options, or data-retention model. Teams evaluating it for production use will also need to test analytical accuracy and confirm how existing source permissions carry into Agent chat.
