  • Pomerado (YC F26) open-sources an MIT-licensed harness that mints deterministic MCP integrations for any website from a natural language prompt
  • Claimed to be 2-4x faster, 10-1000x cheaper, and 30% more reliable than browser agents like Astra, Muse, and Instinct
  • Works on sites behind login and 2FA; integrations are self-healing when the site's DOM changes
  • Separates read and write authority, supports idempotency keys, and emits schema-validated outputs
  • Install via npx, requires Node 24.21+, OpenAI API key for minting; agent runtime is model-agnostic
  • Source and docs on GitHub; hosted version at pomerado.ai

Browser-control agents interpret pages and choose actions during every run. That process adds model calls, latency, and token costs, while small interface changes can break a workflow. Pomerado, a company from Y Combinator’s F26 batch, generates reusable browser integrations that agents can call as typed tools.

The company has released its core minting harness under the MIT license. Pomerado says it can turn a website task into an API or Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool in less than 30 minutes. It also reports integrations that are 2 to 4 times faster, 10 to 1,000 times cheaper, and 30% more reliable than browser agents including Astra, Muse, and Instinct. Those figures are vendor-reported; independent evaluation would require the workloads, site mix, cost assumptions, and success criteria behind them.

Compile the clicks once

Pomerado calls its generation process “minting.” A developer describes a task in plain English and supplies a URL. The harness then drives a real Chromium browser to discover the required steps, without requiring an HTTP Archive file or a recorded demonstration.

  1. Explore the site with a generated Chromium script.
  2. Generate code that completes a concrete example.
  3. Generalize the code to accept new inputs.
  4. Expose the integration as an MCP tool.

A minted integration is a typed wrapper around a repeatable browser workflow. Its fixed control flow can avoid the model calls that browser agents make while deciding each step. The integration remains dependent on the site’s interface, permissions, and authentication flow.

The generated output is editable source code stored in a local folder:
