AI agents have mostly been a solo act. You open a chat window, you ask something, you get an answer. Pika just changed that dynamic with the launch of Group Chat , the first feature on their platform that lets a Pika Agent join a multi-person conversation alongside real humans.

What just shipped

Pika launched the first in-app Group Chat with an agent. Available directly within its platform at pika.me and the Pika Agent iOS app, the update allows users who have created a Pika Agent to bring that agent into shared conversations with friends, family, or colleagues , rather than limiting interactions to one-on-one chats.

The setup is deliberately frictionless. In the Pika.me web product or Pika Agent iOS app, you start and name a new Group Chat, then send a link to invite friends, family, or colleagues. Once everyone is in, you mention the agent by name to summon it, and it starts creating, generating, supporting, planning, and booking.

The agent behind the chat

To understand why Group Chat is interesting, you need to understand what a Pika Agent actually is. Rather than chasing ever-larger general-purpose models, Pika emphasizes building persistent, personalized AI agents that function as true creative partners , entities users "birth" with custom personalities, voices, appearances, and memories, then collaborate with across messaging, calls, and real-time video.
