Lovable Turns 800,000 Freelancers Into a Paid Partner Sales Force
Lovable formalizes its 800,000 strong builder community into a two-track program with certifications, a partner directory, and commission on Business subscriptions.
- Lovable launched a global Partner Program for its 800,000 builders and agencies, with certification and a public directory.
- Two tracks: Expert for solo builders and SMB work, Solutions Partner for agencies serving mid-market and enterprise.
- Experts earn 10% commission on Business subscription clients they bring in, paid for the first 12 months.
- Solutions Partners get tiered revenue share on Business and Enterprise deals, Lovable credits, and enterprise buyer matching.
- The old Lovable Experts program has been retired and folded into the new Solution Partner track.
- Move positions Lovable against Cursor, Bolt, and v0 by building a services channel targeting enterprise procurement.
Lovable is turning its sprawling community of freelancers and agencies into an official channel. The AI app builder just launched the Partner Program, a global scheme that certifies people building client work on the platform, lists them in a public directory, and pays them a cut when they bring in paying customers.
Roughly 800,000 people and agencies are already using Lovable for client projects, from marketing sites to full business transformation programs. Until now, none of that work carried any formal recognition from the company. The new program adds badges, revenue share, and a matchmaking layer for enterprise buyers.
Two tracks, one program
The program splits builders into two lanes depending on their scale, spanning solo builders shipping websites for local businesses through agencies running enterprise AI rollouts.
- Expert track: aimed at individuals and small agencies who build websites, internal tools, and systems for SMB and mid-market clients. Experts get certified on shipped work, earn the Certified Expert badge, appear in the partner directory, and collect 10% commission on Lovable Business subscriptions they source, paid for the first 12 months as long as the client keeps paying. A Lovable Pro subscription is the only prerequisite.
- Solutions Partner track: built for agencies, consultancies, and system integrators (typically five or more people) selling to mid-market and enterprise clients. These partners earn revenue share on closed-won Business and Enterprise deals across three tiers, receive Lovable credits, and get matched with enterprise buyers looking for hands-on help.
If you are unsure which side you belong on, Lovable says you can apply and it will recommend a track, then switch as your business changes.
Why now
Lovable is competing in a crowded generative coding space against Cursor, Bolt, and v0. Most of those rivals aim squarely at individual developers inside an IDE. Lovable is chasing a different distribution motion: professional services firms that can drive volume and recurring revenue.
That bet only works if Lovable outputs are seen as production grade. The platform already supports integrations with Supabase, Stripe, and dozens of other APIs through its AI gateway, and the certification badge gives agencies something concrete to wave at procurement teams who remain skeptical that a prompted app can survive real users.
The real story behind the badge
This is also a cleanup. The old Lovable Experts program has been retired and folded into the Solutions Partner track, with existing experts asked to reapply. The new structure resembles what Salesforce, HubSpot, or Webflow run, and it does two useful things for Lovable at once:
- It creates a sales force Lovable does not have to pay a salary to. Every certified partner has a direct financial incentive to upsell clients into Business and Enterprise tiers.
- It gives Lovable a credible services layer for enterprise deals. Big buyers do not want a raw AI builder, they want an integrator who will own the outcome.
What it means for builders
If you are already shipping client work on Lovable, the math is straightforward. A 10% cut on Business subscriptions for the first year, plus a directory listing that ranks you above uncertified competitors, adds up to real money for anyone running a small shop. Onboarding is light: submit company details, list your customers and plans, and once approved, review the guide and policies and sign the agreement before getting portal access.
The tradeoff is lock-in. Certification tethers your brand to Lovable's platform decisions, its pricing, and its roadmap. For agencies that were already all-in, that is a feature. For those hedging across Cursor, Bolt, and v0, it becomes a decision point about which ecosystem to plant a flag in first.
