Krea just rolled out Seedance Studio, a dedicated workspace built around ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 video model. The pitch is simple: instead of typing a paragraph-long prompt and hoping the model interprets your camera moves correctly, you get a director's console with prompt presets, camera path controls, and 3D scene layout tools all in one place.
This matters because Seedance 2.5 is one of the most capable video models available right now, but its ceiling has been limited by how you communicate with it. Studio is Krea's answer to that bottleneck.
What is actually in the box
Seedance Studio is a UI layer that sits on top of Seedance 2.5, ByteDance's latest text-to-video model. The underlying model is doing the heavy lifting, and it is a serious one. Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's AI video generation model for text-to-video, image-to-video, and reference-guided creation. It produces cinematic 30-second clips at up to 1080p, accepts up to 50 multimodal references, and generates synchronized audio with the video.
The Studio interface adds three things on top:
- Prompt presets: reusable directorial templates so you are not rewriting scene descriptions from scratch every generation
- Camera paths: explicit dolly, push-in, tracking, and orbit controls that get translated into model-friendly instructions
- 3D scene controls: spatial layout of subjects and cameras before generation, so the model gets a coherent geometric brief instead of ambiguous language
Why the wrapper matters
Video models understand cinematography through text, and text is a lossy way to describe a camera arc. The prevailing workaround has been timeline prompting, where you break shots into timestamped beats.
