Krea has been a creative AI platform built on top of other people's models. Flux, Qwen, Wan , all third-party backbones that Krea wrapped in a polished interface. That changed when Krea 2 launched as the company's first foundation image model built entirely from scratch. Now, Krea is taking the next logical step: letting you fine-tune that model on your own visual language.
Krea is rolling out Krea 2 LoRA training in beta , its most powerful fine-tuning system to date. You can train Krea 2 on your own specific style, object, or character with precision, then use it directly in the Image tool. Krea 2 LoRAs are available for Max and Business subscribers while the beta is underway.
Why this is different from what came before
LoRA , short for Low-Rank Adaptation , is a technique for fine-tuning a large model by training only a small set of additional parameters, rather than rewriting the whole model. The result is a lightweight "style layer" you can attach to a base model at generation time, steering its output toward a specific look, character, or object without the cost of full retraining.
LoRAs aren't new to Krea , the platform has supported them on Flux, Qwen, and Wan for a while. What's new is the quality. Krea 2 LoRAs hold style, character, and material identity at a level Krea hasn't seen from any of the earlier backbones.
Krea 2 is Krea's first foundation model, built completely from scratch for aesthetic diversity and stylistic control. When creating an image with AI, there are two main pieces to define: what you want in the image, and how you want it to look. Most image models are great at the first part , they handle complex prompts with no problem. But when it comes to style, they tend to give you something polished, safe, and nice. Krea 2 was built specifically to break that pattern, and LoRA training is what makes that aesthetic control persistent and reusable.
