JustHireMe Ranks and Tailors Job Applications Entirely on Your DevicePRO
  • JustHireMe is a local-first Tauri desktop workbench for job scraping, ranking, and tailored document generation.
  • Runs fully keyless with local ONNX embeddings, Ollama, or Claude Code and Codex CLI subscriptions.
  • Stores profile graph in Kùzu, vectors in LanceDB, and CRM data in SQLite, all on-device.
  • Fit scores are explained via GraphRAG proof from the candidate's own skill and project graph.
  • Ships a companion MCP server exposing scoring, quality-gate, and lead intel tools.
  • Cross-platform installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux under AGPL-3.0 with auto-update.

Job search tools tend to fall into two camps: cloud services that swallow your resume for opaque matching, or scraping automations that spam applications on your behalf. JustHireMe takes a different route as a local-first desktop workbench that scrapes roles, ranks fit with visible reasons, and generates tailored application packages, all without shipping your profile to a third party.

The project has crossed 2.2k stars on GitHub and ships as a Tauri desktop app with a Python sidecar. Every release is built by GitHub Actions from a v* tag and now ships installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with auto-updates wired into the app itself.

What actually runs on your machine

The architecture is unusual for an AI product in 2026: almost nothing leaves the device. A bundled ONNX model (all-MiniLM-L6-v2) with a deterministic hashing fallback handles semantic matching fully offline, no API key required. Storage is split across SQLite for the local CRM, Kùzu for the profile graph, and LanceDB for vectors.

The LLM layer is designed to be keyless by default. Discovery, ranking, and generation all run with zero API key, and local Ollama or your existing Claude Code / Codex CLI subscription can power every LLM step; keyed providers like OpenAI, Gemini, and Groq are optional. That side-steps the usual cost tax for running an agent pipeline over dozens of scraped listings.
