huashu-motion Turns Any Coding Agent Into a Video Director for $0.27
A new open-source agent skill lets Claude Code and Codex build commercial-grade product launch videos directly in the browser, with point-to-edit control.
- huashu-motion is an open-source Agent Skill that turns Claude Code or Codex into a motion designer, now at 1.2k stars.
- Install with
npx skills add alchaincyf/huashu-motion; MIT licensed, macOS-tested, works with any Agent Skills-compatible agent. - Point-to-edit browser editor lets you click a frame, write a comment, and have the agent change only that element.
- Agent composes original scores in ABC notation performed by sampled piano, strings, and drums, fully local, no paid APIs.
- Rules derived from measuring 21 real launch films and 142 motion pieces, codified into 20 movement languages.
- Reportedly works with cheaper models: a 22s clip via DeepSeek V4.1 Flash cost about 27 cents end-to-end.
Open-source project huashu-motion gives compatible coding agents a code-driven workflow for producing product launch videos. A request for a 30-second film prompts Claude Code, Codex, or another supported agent to inspect the product, propose three creative directions, plan the shots, compose a score, and open a browser editor for targeted revisions. The MIT-licensed repository passed 1,200 GitHub stars within days of release.
Independent developer Huashu built the project after Anthropic released its Claude Motion beta to Team and Enterprise customers. Huashu describes the skill as an attempt to reproduce and extend that workflow in a package any compatible agent can load.
One command, local toolchain
npx skills add alchaincyf/huashu-motionThe Skills CLI detects the active coding agent and installs the package in its expected directory. The -a claude-code and -a codex flags can select a target explicitly. The package follows the Agent Skills protocol, a convention for distributing reusable instructions and tools to coding agents, and supports Claude Code, Codex, WorkBuddy, Grok Bot, Muse, and Dots.
