dsh-Go Brings DeepSeek's Coding Agent to Android Without Root Access
A Flutter-built Android client packs the DeepSeek Harness coding agent into a phone, with a built-in Linux sandbox and remote control for your desktop.
- dsh-Go is a Flutter Android client for the DeepSeek Harness coding agent.
- Runs DSH locally in a bundled Ubuntu + Node.js environment, no root or Termux required.
- Can also act as a remote for DSH running on a desktop, over SSH or DSH Remote.
- Phone-operation mode reads the screen and taps for you with three confirmation levels.
- Requires Android 8+, arm64 APK, sideload only; AGPL-3.0 licensed, SDK is MIT.
- Remote mode is limited: images-only attachments, no in-app web view, toggle-only plugins.
An unofficial open-source Android app called dsh-Go brings the DeepSeek Harness coding agent to phones. It can run the DSH engine inside a bundled Linux environment or control an instance running on a laptop or server. The repository collected about 2,300 GitHub stars during its first week.
DeepSeek Harness is DeepSeek’s open coding-agent runtime. On a workstation, it can inspect files, execute shell commands, call development tools, and revise code. dsh-Go packages that runtime as a third-party Android client that requires neither root access nor Termux.
Inside the Android bundle
The Flutter app uses a Kotlin platform layer and carries an AGPL-3.0 license, while its SDK and examples use MIT. It supports Android 8.0, API level 26, or newer. The project publishes arm64 APKs for phones and x86_64 builds for emulators, with no 32-bit ARM package. Installation is available through GitHub Releases; the app is not distributed through Google Play.
- Local execution: Installs Ubuntu, Node.js, and the DSH runtime inside the app. The environment consumes about 1 GB of storage.
- Remote control: Connects through SSH or DSH Remote to resume and manage sessions running on another machine.
