- Ships with morning briefs, inbox triage, human-in-the-loop approvals, and per-agent computer use.
- Deploys to web, mobile, Slack, and Microsoft Teams from a single codebase.
- Built on OpenBot platform; needs Docker, Bun, Node, model key, and free CopilotKit Intelligence project.

CopilotKit has released the OpenDuet repository, an MIT-licensed template for building proactive AI agents that work in the background and request input when they reach a decision point. CopilotKit positions it as an open-source counterpart to Anthropic’s Claude Duet. It supports AG-UI-compatible agent backends, configurable models, self-hosting, and custom interfaces. The repository reached 674 GitHub stars during its first week.
The template focuses on scheduled and event-driven work. An agent can prepare a morning brief, monitor connected services, continue tasks while the user is away, and surface configured outbound or destructive actions for approval. That workflow gives developers reusable patterns for delegation, progress reporting, and human oversight.
What developers get
OpenDuet ships as source code that teams can clone, host, and adapt for web and mobile products. Its interface supports several patterns commonly needed by workplace agents:
- Morning briefs: Summarize scheduled work, recent changes, and decisions awaiting the user.
- Inbox triage: Review Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack activity, then prioritize items that need attention.
- Approval flows: Preview configured sends, payments, signatures, deletions, and other consequential actions before execution.
