Comfy-Org’s Qwen editing bundle has passed 1.68 million downloads on Hugging Face after adding Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 checkpoints and task-specific LoRAs. The repository packages Alibaba’s Qwen editing models and community variants as safetensors files that ComfyUI can load from its standard model directories.
Upstream Qwen releases use the Diffusers layout, which separates model shards, configuration files, the variational autoencoder, and the text encoder. Comfy-Org consolidates the diffusion model into a single checkpoint while providing the supporting VAE and Qwen2.5-VL encoder through a companion repository. Developers still choose and download each required component, but they no longer need to convert the Diffusers release themselves.
Hugging Face’s download counter measures repository file downloads rather than unique installations or active users. Even with that limitation, the total shows substantial demand for ComfyUI-ready packaging.
One bundle, several builds
The repository covers three Qwen-Image-Edit generations, a FireRed variant, and six LoRAs. Qwen-Image-Edit uses a 20-billion-parameter multimodal diffusion transformer, commonly abbreviated as MMDiT.
