Devin for Startups is now live. Cognition, the company behind the autonomous AI coding agent Devin, has launched a formal startup program offering up to $65K in credits and matching grants to early-stage, VC-backed teams. The program is open today, and applications are rolling.

What the program actually offers

The credit structure has two layers, and the math is worth understanding before you apply:

  • $15K in free Devin credits loaded into your account immediately upon approval , usable for PRs, bug fixes, refactors, and migrations across Devin's Web, CLI, and Desktop interfaces.
  • $50K in matching grants structured as a dollar-for-dollar match on your next $100K of usage. Spend $50K, get $50K back , effectively cutting your next $100K in Devin usage in half.
  • Unlimited seats on the Team plan, so your whole engineering team can run concurrent sessions.
  • Exclusive events, white-glove support, and Devin swag for accepted startups.

To be eligible, startups need to be on Devin's Team plan and have VC backing, which Cognition verifies on a rolling basis. Notably, teams already using Devin can still apply , this is not a new-user-only offer.

The kickoff event

Cognition is hosting a hands-on working session to celebrate the launch, co-hosted by 8VC, where attendees are invited to bring their laptops with Devin set up and work through custom workflows, automations, and advanced usage. The
