Anthropic Drops 10 Open-Source Wall Street Agents, Sending FactSet Stock Down 8%

Anthropic just dropped the entire Wall Street analyst workflow onto GitHub and walked away. The anthropics/financial-services repository is a fully open-source, Apache-licensed collection of 10 production-grade AI agents, vertical skill bundles, slash commands, and live data connectors targeting the most repetitive and high-stakes work in financial services. It has already crossed 30,000 stars.

Anthropic released ten ready-to-run agent templates for the most time-consuming work in financial services , building pitchbooks, screening KYC files, and closing the books at month-end , each shipping as a plugin in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, and as a cookbook for Claude Managed Agents, so a team can put Claude on real financial work in days rather than months.

The Wall Street briefing that moved markets

The announcements were made at an invite-only financial services briefing in New York, capping a 48-hour blitz that signals Anthropic isn't just selling AI software to banks. The release sent FactSet stock down 8.1% in a single session. Morningstar reversed early gains and fell more than 3%, while S&P Global and Moody's came under significant selling pressure.

Since first launching Claude for Financial Services in July 2025, Anthropic has placed Claude into production at JPMorganChase, Goldman Sachs, Citi, AIG, Visa, and others. The open-source repo is the public-facing layer of a much larger enterprise push , and the market noticed.
